1.     EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : (As on 01/01/2017)
For Grade IIB Officer: A Degree with Honours in Pure Science/Commerce/Statistics/Economics/English. Adequate Knowledge in MS OFFICE is essential. Training in Co-operation/Banking will be given preference.
For Grade IIB (Technical) Officer: An Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science /MCA. Having adequate knowledge in Oracle is preferable.
For Grade III: Graduate in any branch of studies of a recognized university. Working Knowledge in computer is essential.
For Grade IV: Atleast passed Class- VIII from a Govt. recognized school.

2.     Age: (As on 01/01/2017)
i.      Minimum Age: For Grade IIB Officer age limit is maximum 40 years and that for Grade III and Grade IV is maximum 35 years.
ii.     The upper age limit will be relaxed as under :

iii. Candidates seeking age relaxation are required to submit self-certified copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of application, if qualifying .No change in the category of any candidate is possible after application. No correspondence/email/ phone will be entertained in this regard. The successful candidates of written test shall bring originals for verification on the date of Interview.

iv. CUMULATIVE AGE RELAXATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE EITHER UNDER ABOVE ITEMS OR IN COMBINATION WITH ANY OTHER ITEM.

 3. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

All eligible candidates should apply in prescribed format within the stipulated time frame.

i)              Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and/or interview subject to the Decision of the Bank Authority. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test or interview.

ii)              The Written test will be objective type, consisting of (a) General Awareness (b) General English (c) Quantitative Aptitude (d) Reasoning Ability (e) Marketing Aptitude / Computer Knowledge. The questions in objective tests shall be in English, except for General English where some questions may be written in Bengali. Each test will be of 20 marks. For these objective type tests of total 100 marks. Candidates will be given a composite time of 1 Hours 15 minutes. For Grade IIB (technical), another objective test of 50 marks on the subject matter will be taken for 45 minutes in continuation of the above mentioned test

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests. The passing marks in each of the tests will be decided by the Bank on the basis of the performance of all the competing candidates taken together in each test to a minimum required level. Candidates are also required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate.

               iii)             Interviews: Candidates qualified in the test will be placed according to their marks indescending order in respective categories. Depending upon the number of vacancies only certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify by ranking high enough in the merit will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 5 candidates for each vacancy. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in interview to be considered for final selection. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test and/or interview, as will be decided by the Bank Authority.

 Note: Interview call letters will be uploaded in the Bank’s website after declaration of result. Candidates will have to download the same from our website. No hard copy of interview call letter may be sent by post.

 Date of written examination: Shall be decided by the Bank Authority and will be informed in due course by sending Hall ticket for the written test. However candidates shall visit Bank’s website time to time to get any update in this respect and for download of Hall ticket.

 4.     PAY SCALE:

        Apart from Scale of Pay, the other allowances as admissible under Service Rule of the Bank will be paid.

        The Gross Emoluments at the initial pay may be as follows (Tentative):
        Grade-IIB Officer: INR 38950.00
        Grade-III: INR 19630.00
        Grade-IV: INR 16100.00

 

5.     Probation period: Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Service Regulations of the Bank in force at the time of joining or during the service tenure. The Probation period for all category is generally 1(One) year but is extendable upto 2(Two) years, if the service is considered not satisfactory by the Bank Authority.

Application must be accompanied by Demand Draft of prescribed application fee. Fee once deposited will neither be refunded nor be adjusted against any future recruitment projects. The fee to be paid by Bank Draft favoring’ Contai Co-operative Bank Limited’ payable on any Bank at Contai. The application without the Demand Draft  shall be rejected.

 

7.     CALL LETTERS FOR EXAMINATION:

 The Call Letter/Hall Ticket will be sent by ordinary post through Post office. However the candidates can download the same from Bank’s Website after issuance.

8.       PROOF OF IDENTITY TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF EXAMINATION:

The candidates must bring the call letter along with one photo identity proof such as passport /PAN Card/Driving License/Voter's Card/ AADHAR/Photo-Identity Card issued by Head of School or College/ Gazetted Officer in the official letter head in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidate is in doubt, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.

9.       EXAMINATION CENTRES:

The examinations will be held at the selected venues as will be decided by the Bank Authority.

 10.   IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

a.  Candidates serving in Government/Quasi Government offices, Public Sector undertaking including Nationalised Banks and financial Institutions will be required to submit 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered.

 

b.  In case of selection, candidates are required to produce proper discharge certificate from the employer at the time of taking up the appointment.

 

c.   A self-attested copy Caste certificate issued by the competent authority on format prescribed by the Govt. of India will have to be submitted by the SC/ST/OBC candidates during application and Original should be produced during Interview, if selected in written test.

d.  .No TA/DA is admissible in Written Test or in Interview

 11.   ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES IF FOUND GUILTY OF CONDUCT

Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/ fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
At the time of examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:

i)              Any Suppression of Fact or false/Misleading information.

ii)            Resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection.

He/ She may be disqualified from the Test/Interview, his/her Candidature will stand cancelled and he/she may be debarred from any future recruitment process of the Bank.
